DATA RETENTION
How long we keep each category of data, and why.
IN PLAIN ENGLISH
An account owner can export the organization's data at any time; each download link lasts 7 days. When an owner closes the account, deletion can be cancelled for 28 days, and everything is deleted from live systems within 30 days. By default that includes sealed evidence, such as submitted reports and the measurements behind them; the owner can instead choose to keep it, with the audit log, for 1 to 10 years. Encrypted backups expire on their own schedule, and a restore never brings deleted data back.
